Registration and refreshments will be provided from 10:30 onwards.

Our keynote speaker (to be confirmed) will be Simon Waugh, Executive Chair of the National Apprenticeship Service who will be delivering talks on:

  • The challenge of youth unemployment and government response
  • Overview of the aims of the Youth Contract
  • Exploring how funding will be allocated
  • The key role of employers in the new contracts.


There will be an opportunity to break for lunch and networking opportunities at 13:00.

We have three Employer Workshops starting from 14:15 that will be running concurrently. When booking your ticket, please only choose one ticket + workshop.

Workshop One: Supporting Apprentices in the Third Sector - The overall aim of this workshop is to explore best practice in ensuring that your apprentice is properly supported and enabled to reach their potential and benefit your organisation.
Workshop Two: Shared Investment in Apprentices - The overall aim of this workshop is to explore the feasibility of employers collectively sharing the employment and time costs of one or more apprentices.
Workshop Three: Third Sector Apprenticeship Frameworks - The overall aim of this workshop is to explore the practicalities of taking on an apprentice's fundraiser or volunteer coordinator.
